SUMMARY:MACC’s Eighth Annual Veteran Arts Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:For the Love of Liberty\nEighth Annual Veterans Art Exhibition & Boots & BBQ Fundraiser\nA Weekend Celebrating Service\, Freedom and Healing Through the Arts \nMonthaven Arts and Cultural Center is pulling out all of the stops in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary\, presenting a two-day event that includes a major exhibition opening at Monthaven and our annual Boots & BBQ fundraiser at Bagsby Ranch in Gallatin. \nThe MACC’s Eighth Annual Veteran Arts Exhibition opens with a private reception at 6 p.m. Saturday\, Aug. 1\, 2026 at Monthaven Mansion. Nationally acclaimed contemporary artist Tim Yanke will have some of his stylized renderings of the American flag on display. These works will share space with superstar designer Manuel’s custom-made jackets celebrating the original 13 states. Don Olea\, a Gallatin-based watercolorist known for his artwork commemorating the American military\, will showcase some of his Revolutionary War-era pieces. \nEvery Veterans Art Exhibition includes a Boots & BBQ fundraiser to support the MACC’s Between the Lines healing arts program for military veterans. This year’s fundraiser begins at 4 p.m. Sunday\, Aug. 2 at Bagsby Ranch\, 1628 Long Hollow Pike\, Gallatin\, TN 37066. Dr. Michael Hamilton\, an Army veteran\, educator and executive with Label 22 Recording & Management will be the keynote speaker. Marine Corps veteran and America’s Got Talent star Sal Gonzalez will provide the musical entertainment. \nFor more information call (615) 822-0789.
